Pebbles in the Pond
Pebbles in the Pond is a non-profit, psycho-education program dedicated to helping patients and providers better manage chronic mental illness. From depression to bipolar disorders to schizophrenia, Pebbles in the Pond has resources to effectively deal with a cluster of chronic neurobiological disorders. We provide:
- Current information about the symptoms, diagnostic criteria and treatment of major mental disorders
- Techniques and tools to help consumers and family members better cope with the symptoms of mental illness
- Tools for health-care and mental-health providers
- Insight and understanding for family members
- Renewed hope for those who struggle with persistent mental illness
The core of our program is a unique 12-week, 36-hour “compassionate curriculum” that has been shared with thousands of family, patients and providers since 1997. Like the ripples in a pond, its impact is spreading through the mental health community and among patients and loved ones in Washington and to several other states.
